Zihao Li

Zihao Li is a current PhD researcher at CREATe, School of Law, University of Glasgow. He is both qualified in Computer Science (BEng) and Law (LLB). He also studied as an exchange student at University of California, Irvine. He holds LL.M. in Intellectual Property and Digital Economy from University of Glasgow. His research interests include information technology law, Internet law and cybersecurity, currently with a particular focus on data protection law. Based on his interdisciplinary background, Zihao’s research aims to explore what is the best way for China and EU to protect data subjects in the increasingly widespread application of big data and machine learning era. His PhD thesis concentrates on data protection law and online algorithmic pricing, especially affinity-based algorithmic pricing. Zihao is also a member of the CREATe Centre and one of the founding presidents of IP society at University of Glasgow.
